|YPAC (Yayasan Pembinaan Anak Cacat Bali) means Institute for physically and mentally handicapped children.
- The home for handicapped children was founded by Nyonya Sukarnen, wife of the governor of Bali, with the support of Ardhini Suardana and Lovrend Silas, two female friends of Ms. Sukarnen, in October 1975.
- In April of 1981 YPAC Bali was officially acknowledged as a children’s home by the Indonesian government and given the registration number 24/SK/P/81.
- In 1985 a field of 10 are was purchased in Jimbaran, and a school was built on the premises for the children.
- Today 55 physically or mentally handicapped children are taught at the school, and 6 girls and 14 boys permanently live in the home.
